Terms and conditions of business

  1. FEES POLICY

1.1  Fees charged will be according to the fee schedule on Word of Mouth Languages website which can be varied from time to time.

1.2  Once a package is purchased the price charged will not be varied.

1.3  All courses are inclusive of learning materials but exclude any textbooks which may be recommended by the tutor.

 

  1. PURCHASE POLICY

2.1 Each package consists of ten learning weeks and you have 120 days available to use the package from the date of purchase.

2.2 The packages are prepaid in full in advance by banking transfer, cash or cleared cheques at least 24 hours before the start of the first session.

 

  1. CANCELLATION POLICY

3.1  You have the right to cancel the course after the first learning session.

3.2  The package won’t be refunded  if you decide to continue and attend the second session from the package.

3.3  There is no refund if you don’t cover all ten sessions by the end date of the package date.

3.4  If the lesson has been scheduled and you wish to cancel within 24 hours you will still be charged the full amount for the lesson.

3.5  If the Tutor is obliged to cancel a lesson, the session will be rearranged for a time that is mutually convenient for both Student and Tutor.

3.6  If the student is more than 15 minutes late, and does not inform the tutor by email/Skype /instant messaging during this 15 minute time-slot, the tutor shall cancel the lesson. There will be no refund and the session will not be rescheduled.

 

  1. TERMINATION POLICY

4.1  Lessons will continue until a mutually agreed termination date. Both the Tutor and the Student reserve the right to terminate lessons should they no longer be considered beneficial to the Student. No refund shall be applicable.

4.2 The contract will be immediately terminated due to any inappropriate behaviour by the student. No refund shall be applicable.

 

  1. GENERAL POLICIES

5.1  Word of Mouth Languages cannot accept responsibility for any unforeseen changes in a student’s circumstance that may prevent them from attending a session.

5.2  Each party shall keep confidential the terms of the Contract and any and all Confidential Information that it may acquire in relation to the other party. Neither party shall use the other party’s Confidential Information for any purpose other than to perform its obligations under the Contract.

5.3  All intellectual property rights in the services provided by Word of Mouth Languages (including any software supplied by Word of Mouth Languages), all documents, drawings and information supplied by Word of Mouth Languages to the Customer in connection with this Contract remain the absolute property of Word of Mouth Languages. Such documents, drawings and information will not be copied, disclosed or used (except for the purpose for which they were supplied) without the prior written consent of Word of Mouth Languages.

5.4 For online students Word of Mouth Languages cannot be held liable for any technical difficulties or service interruptions to Broadband services or to Skype. If such difficulties arise, Word of Mouth Languages will reschedule the session.

 

  1. LIABILITY CLAUSE

6.1  The Tutor actively encourages student progress and commitment to self-study but while the Tutor will endeavour to ensure the Student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed, and the Tutor cannot be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the Student. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tutor accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Tutor’s services or any errors or omissions in the content of the Tutor’s learning materials.
